MIT Technology Review has launched a podcast series which will focus on topics that are important to enterprise decision makers. The podcast, titled The Business Lab, features a 30-minute conversation between a custom content director at MIT Technology Review and a sponsor partner. The Business Lab will discuss technology topics important to enterprise decision-makers and will be hosted in America by Laurel Ruma (MIT Technology Review's custom Content Director).
Machines we Trust
In Machines We Trust podcast is about automation in our world. Automation is everywhere. Artificial intelligence is at their heart. They base their decisions on huge amounts of data. From dynamic pricing online to "reading” job applications before human eyes, they make intelligent decisions. This fascinating topic should be on everyone's mind.

Susie Armstrong
The podcast discusses many topics including artificial intelligence (AI), and the progress of AI technology. Susie Armstrong is the SVP of engineering at Qualcomm and discusses the current state of AI. She also discusses how women in the technology industry can help improve society by breaking down stereotypes and embracing the power of diversity.
The Turing test of MIT Technology Review
Turing is a popular test that tests how intelligent computers are. It can be difficult to perform correctly. The test is conducted by having an interrogator ask a series of questions to a test subject. The two sides are in separate rooms, and the test is conducted without physical contact. The test subject's responses are then evaluated to determine whether they can distinguish between human and nonhuman responses. A human may fail the Turing test if they answer one question differently than a machine.
The Turing test is also controversial. Critics argue that the Turing test doesn't measure intelligent behavior. To pass the test, a machine must be as intelligent as a person. The machine cannot appear to be too intelligent. It would have to solve computational problems that are not possible for humans.

Qualcomm SVP of Engineering
Susie Armstrong from Qualcomm, SVP of Engineering, appeared on a podcast. She spoke about the importance diversity and women in tech. She also shared her career journey, from being a student intern with Qualcomm to becoming a senior executive for Microsoft. She talked about the role of leadership in driving workplace equality. The show also covered the role of women within STEM fields and the challenges faced by these women.
